The Summer 2008 Preview is taking a lot longer than I thought to write because I have quite a bit to say about some of the series. I’m compiling this Daily Dose because I don’t want to fall too far behind on the news, and because I want to point people to the newest Parallel Works video.
This week’s Gurren Lagann Parallel Works belongs to artist , and it combines the instrumental track BafBaf! Sonna ni Moeru no ga…Suki Kai? with video of Viral and the others playing a Gurren Lagann themed . It’s an amusing watch, though I still like more, both in song and in accompanying video. It’s hard to beat “raw! raw! fight the power!”
The first video, which you can see at left, is out. For those of you who haven’t heard about this, various members of ’s staff are pairing music with new, alternate world animations. This first one is animator Watanabe Keisuke’s, and it combines the song Rap wa Kan no Tamashii da! with a fantasy setting. In it, Simon, Kamina, and Viral are attacking a fortress to free Nia, and they run into Yoko and the woman who was in . It’s a lot of fun to watch, and it’s rekindled my memories of how much I liked the Gurren Lagann OST (i.e. I’ve got it on my playlist now). The next one video is set to be released June 23rd.Thanks
In more Macross Frontier news, it was announced yesterday on the that there is a special short movie in store for purchasers of the first volume BD/DVD. It’s called ALL THAT VF and will feature many of the Valkyries from the series in commemoration of its 25th anniversary. The first volume is set to be released on July 25th.
The broadcast version of episode six had a good deal of recap, but all of that’s gone in the DVD version and replaced with actual story about Kamina trying to get a look at the girls naked. That sounds stupid, but it turned out to be a really funny episode.
Recent mecha anime created by GAINAX. Its meteoric rise in popularity on and is nothing short of astounding, given few Anonymous were bothered to pay attention to the show at first because of the Gainax connection and many were brushing it off as doomed to failure. Quite the contrary, Gurren-Lagann has earned the respect and admiration of many Anonymous, and like , it has reeled in interest in other shows paid homage to by the series, like Ashita no Joe, Gunbuster and Captain Harlock. It is credited for being a major source of good quality original content, moreso than any other series since . Gurren-Lagann is also famous for its ridiculously high budget, which is frequently a source of many jokes among Anonymous

Weeds season 4 episode 7

[…] episode 6 Dead In The Nethers … Watch weeds Online. But who really gives a damn about that? For all intents and purposes, Timothy McVeigh sprang into existence fully formed around the age of 18 as a college dropout with an unhealthy love for big guns.
McVeigh was young man faced with a tough economy, a series of dead end jobs, an inability to score with girls and a closet full of firearms. Lacking the imagination to start a dot-com and the charisma to peddle , he obviously had no choice but to pursue as a vocation. He got himself a copy of . He joined the Army, because no one teaches you how to kill people better than the U.S. government, and served in the . While in the Army, he hooked up with , who would later become his partner in terrorism.
On his release from the Army, McVeigh opted to avoid such unproductive activities as marriage, career and family in favor of getting really fucking pissed off at the U.S. government. His favorite rage-inducers included the , the and the "persecution" of and his harem of teenage wives in Waco, Texas.
McVeigh beat around the country for a while, stuffing his face with Taco Bell burritos, selling guns to his fellow maniacs, and getting more and more pissed. He stayed in Florida briefly, where he lived with his sister for a month or two. Just a few miles down the road, future agent was "coincidentally" serving up those tasty burritos McVeigh loved so much (he subsisted on them during his trial for the OKC bombing).
McVeigh was so incensed by the Waco incident that he actually drove to the compound during siege to show his support for an American's sacred Constitutional right to impregnate teenage girls, play guitar and collect . After being inexplicably turned away at the gate by federal agents, he trekked north to Michigan, where he met up with brothers Terry and James Nichols.
Sometime around this time, depending on who you want to believe, McVeigh either recruited Terry Nichols as a willing partner, bullied Nichols into going along with his crazy schemes, recruited Nichols into al Qaeda, or was recruited by Nichols into al Qaeda. Whatever the case, McVeigh and Nichols ended up with a plan to bomb the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

Jimmie henderson

Leonard Matthias helped lead the University of Minnesota, Morris men's track team to a third place finish at the St. John's Invitational Saturday in Collegeville, Minnesota as he tied for first in the 100 meters, placed fourth in the long jump and ran the first leg of the 400 meter relay that placed third as the Cougars tallied 57 points in their first outdoor meet of the season on a wet, dreary day.
Brett Edlund (Cyrus, MN) placed second in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:14.1, Kyle Schwartz (New Ulm, MN) was third in the 3000 meter steeple chase with a time of 10:21.2 and David Hamrum (Morris, MN) ran a personal best 11:33.9, taking 30 seconds off his previous best and placed fifth.
In the 100 meter hurdles, Brian Perrault (North Branch, MN) placed fifth with a time of 61.6 and the 1600 meter relay team of Ryan Blad (White Bear Lake, MN), Perrault, Eric Korman (Paynesville, MN) and Schwartz took fifth with a time of 3:50.9. Rutan and his team built and flew the piloted SpaceShipOne on a trio of suborbital treks in 2004, winning the $10 million  purse in the process. Now they are hard at it fulfilling the Virgin Galactic order for commuter-class spaceliners.The company’s founder, British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, partnered with Rutan last year to create . The company's goal: to build a fleet of commercial suborbital spaceships and launch aircraft.At Virgin Galactic, ticket sales for suborbital flights at $200,000 a seat are tallying up. And here in New Mexico, the design of Spaceport America is underway to handle the space-bound public traffic by 2009-2010.The business plan is for 50,000 people to visit space over a 10-year time period, explained Alex Tai, vice president, operations for Virgin Galactic. Tai is trained as a pilot in the Royal Air Force and started at Virgin as an airline pilot for Virgin Atlantic before embarking on special projects for Branson. Working on the Virgin Galactic project from its conception, Tai plans to fly the first commercial flight of the firm’s spaceship as one of the pilots. Among current tasks, he is supervising the design and construction of the new passenger-carrying SpaceShipTwo.In this exclusive interview, Space.com caught up with Tai during the 2nd International Symposium for Personal Spaceflight, held here prior to the Oct. 20-21  festivities.Maximize the experience“What this is about is some seven minutes of black sky, about four minutes of zero-gravity, and about training to become an astronaut,” Tai explained. There’s no doubt in his mind that the experience will be first-rate and a full-service package — akin to the luxurious pampering already given Virgin travelers, he noted. “You can sit somewhere in a box strapped into an ejection seat and give them zero view,” Tai said. “That’s no way to go into space. We’ll be giving them a really sexy training experience. We’re providing large windows that maximize the view…the freedom to float around in zero-gravity…to maximize the experience. I don’t think we’re in danger of under-delivery.”For the $200,000 tab, the passenger will receive an all-accommodations three-day package, hotel, training and transport to and from the spaceport site. “We’ll throw in meals and champagne,” Tai added.Tai said that he’s aware that there is still skepticism in some circles about public space travel, with detractors dismissing it as more stunt than stable business. Branson is keen, he responded, on developing a legacy and becoming the first-ever spaceliner operator and owner. Beyond high-priced seats—those early adopters of spaceliner travel that are booking and spending big time dollars—look for the cost of access to space to drop. “There will be incremental improvements to the technology,” Tai predicted. Initially, SpaceShipTwo, like its predecessor, will utilize the oomph of a hybrid rocket motor. But once the industry is underway, Virgin Galactic will look for other types of motors to plug in the back of spaceliners.“Then the seat prices will tumble,” is the forecast from Tai. Branson plans to plow back money gained from early flights into extensions of space tourism, he added.Banking on Virgin Galactic’s progress, watch for more manufacturers to pop up with other types of space vehicles. “There will be fuel to fan the invention…and the fuel is money,” Tai said.Safety in the front seatIt would be wrong to think of SpaceShipTwo as a “scaled-up” SpaceShipOne. And while both the suborbital rocket plane and the White Knight carrier mothership are both larger in size, extra margin must be built in for safety systems. Redundant and backup systems are to be employed too.Lofting six passengers and two pilots up to the edge of space means putting safety in the front seat and a rigorous testing and shakeout program of hardware is envisioned, Tai said.“From a business perspective,” Tai suggested, “I would very much like him to spend the least amount of money and do it in the shortest period of time. But that’s not the fundamental requirement. It’s producing the safest, best-performing ship. If I have to wait an extra year for that, I’ll take the pressure from everyone…to make sure that we get the best possible product.”Dreamy jobTai said by the time the first systems are delivered to Virgin Galactic, something in the range of $150 million will have been spent. Then an operational structure must be put in place. Facilities are required to handle early operations in Mojave, California and at  in New Mexico. A team of exceptionally competent and skilled personnel to operate the spaceliners are also needed.“And that’s going to cost money as well. I believe we’ll spend between $225 million and $250 million” to reach that operating point, Tai said, perhaps staring in 2009 but also depending on how the testing program goes.There will be a Virgin Galactic cadre of spaceliner pilots. They are being drawn from Virgin’s network of airlines. “We pay top dollar. And that attracts some of the best pilots,” Tai said, with those selected for space travel duty picked after a meticulous training and preparation course. “We’ll ensure that we get the best possible pilots. It’ll be a dreamy job,” Tai emphasized. Passionate passengersTai speculates that hundreds of spaceships might be needed to handle passionate passengers from around the world that hunger for space travel. Beyond the New Mexico spaceport — once the case for safety and turnaround time is made with the SpaceShipTwo system — perhaps semi-permanent facilities, even local municipal airports, could handle space travel operations, Tai suggested. “It’s clearly a goal of Virgin Galactic of being a spaceline operator, not just for same-point-to-same-point space tourism,” Tai said. “We want to go point-to-point on the planet …with exceptional style and safety.”Getting cheap access to low Earth orbit, Tai continued, will be leveraged from the ability to globally hop about. “That’s where the real market is. It will be done off the back of point-to-point … not off going straight to low-Earth orbit.”With that technology in hand, it’s onward to orbital destinations, space hotel stopovers, and to the moon and beyond, Tai said. “That’s the big step, to break free of the surly bonds of Earth.”© 2007 Space.com. padding-left: 2px }
Fire in Yosemite Fire has many faces. It is a force that some people are fearful of, and others are inspired by. It is a phenomenon that is both fascinating and dangerous. In Yosemite, it is something that we manage carefully and continue to learn more about. Yosemite's has an extensive . Historically, fire was often seen as a negative force, but in recent years it has been realized that the benefits of fire in forests are numerous. Yosemite's fire management program is designed to protect life, property, and natural and cultural resources, while ensuring the continuation of fire as a natural process. Yosemite's fire managers recognize that fire has been an essential part of the ecosystem for thousands of years. Due to decades of fire suppression, the natural occurrence of fire was eliminated, resulting in overgrown and unhealthy forests. Naturally occurring fires allow forests to be thinned, opening the canopy and allowing sunlight through. Fire also allows for the recycling of nutrients to the soil while reducing the amount of dead, woody debris. This allows for the sprouting and regrowth of plants, shrubs and trees. A large accumulation of combustible material on the forest floor is hazardous and threatens to destroy forests and structures in an unwanted fire. Fire managers use three tools to mimic fire's natural function in the ecosystem: prescribed fire, mechanical thinning, and wildland fire use. While visiting Yosemite, you may see evidence of any of these practices. are ignited by qualified park fire staff under certain pre-determined conditions. These fires are carefully managed to achieve such goals as public safety (by protecting developed areas) and ecosystem restoration (by clearing unsafe accumulation of dead and down wood). removes smaller trees and brush with tools such as chainsaws. You may see piles of cut material while visiting Yosemite. Mechanical thinning helps provide community protection from unwanted wildland fire and provides safer conditions for firefighters. are caused by lightning and burn naturally in certain park wilderness areas under specific conditions, and with close surveillance by park fire staff. These fires are managed and allowed to burn to fulfill their natural role as an agent for the ecosystem. Where it is not prudent to allow fires to burn, park fire staff will suppress them.

Code geass r2 16

Anyway, I found out the trojan originated from the layout since when i changed layout there was no problem. The condition is supposedly induced by the sustained reverse hyperextension of the spinal cord when paddling on a surfboard, therefore restricting blood flow and oxygen to the spine, causing paralysis of incremental severity. No one knows better than surfers that our sport requires unique uses of our anatomy that no others do. Link:
And "Bustin' Down the Door" is scheduled to premier in Hawaii on August 1, 2008 in theatres throughout the state. This full length feature film documents the birth of pro surfing in the mid-70's, the effect the young Aussies and South Africans had in revolutionizing North Shore surfing, and resulting bad blood with the Hawaiians.

Stockton arena

(posted July 8, 2008 (Tue)) July 8, 2008
EliteXC Middleweight Champion Robbie Lawler Will Defend Against Scott Smith, While Jake Shields Squares off Against Nick Thompson For the Vacant EliteXC Welterweight... The Arena defines the city’s downtown waterfront redevelopment program, including the Sheraton Hotel which houses room and condominiums, 45,000 square feet of retail space and a seven-level parking structure.Stockton Arena Features:
STOCKTON - Neil Smith is both impressed and envious of Stockton Arena, its neighboring facilities and the local hockey fan base.A veteran NHL executive who spearheaded the New York Rangers first Stanley Cup championship in 54 years as the team's general manager in 1994, Smith is now an analyst for NHL Network, which broadcast Wednesday's ECHL All-Star Game at Stockton Arena.
As a hockey man, Smith is impressed by how well the Thunder, which is leading the ECHL in attendance for the third year in a row, has been received. Wednesday's game drew 7,455, fourth best all-time for an ECHL All-Star Game.As owner of Pennsylvania's Johnstown Chiefs, the ECHL affiliate of both the Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche, he's envious of the arena and its amenities."It's just fantastic," he said. "I think the model they have, with (the Thunder) beside the (Ports), the hotel and this beautiful rink, (Stockton's) very lucky to have this. We only wish we could have a building like this in Johnstown."Smith's experience with minor-league hockey began long before he owned the Chiefs. He played in the minors in the New York Islanders organization and later served as the general manager for the Adirondack Red Wings. That's where he made his mark, overseeing Calder Cup runs in 1986 and again in 1989. The Calder Cup is the American Hockey League's equivalent to the Stanley Cup.Much has changed in the minors, however, in the two decades since his run in AHL, Smith said."The development cycle is more exact now than it used to be," he said. "We had a lot of older players playing for those Calder Cup teams, players who had maybe seen their NHL dreams disappear."I think the great thing about this league is that they all have the dream of playing in the NHL. A lot of them won't realize it, but the issue here is this league either forces you to get to the next level or to get out and go get a real job."Minor-league fans, and Thunder fans in particular, appreciate a work ethic built more on hunger than money, stature and long-term contracts, he said."They don't have the same mentality as major-league fans. The problem with major-league fans now - and I love major-league sports - is they're paying so much money for a ticket, when their team loses they're not just disappointed, they're angry."In the minors, the fans are just fans. They're fanatical about their team. If their team loses, they're disappointed but they're not angry."Stephen Roberson can be reached at (209) 546-8272 or sroberson@recordnet.com.

Simon birch

Quicklinksmain detailscombined detailsfull cast and crewcompany creditsuser commentsexternal reviewsnewsgroup reviewsawardsuser ratingsparents guiderecommendationsmessage boardplot summaryplot keywordsAmazon.com summarymemorable quotestriviagoofssoundtrack listingmovie connectionsFAQmerchandising linksbox office/businessrelease datesfilming locationstechnical specsDVD detailsliterature listingsNewsDesktaglinestrailers and videospostersmiscellaneousphotographs
Cast (Cast overview, first billed only) ... ... ... First from her closets...
This screen adaptation of John Irving's novel A Prayer for Owen Meany was appreciated much more by audiences than by the majority of disapproving critics. Irving's books have fared only moderately well on film, and while The World According to Garp garnered critical praise, The Hotel New Hampshire was waiting in the wings to counteract the fanfare. Simon Birch is one of those nostalgic movies--determined to view the past in rose-colored hues--despite the fact that its protagonist, a dwarf named Simon Birch, is wholeheartedly unsympathetic. The film opens weepily, with Jim Carrey as the adult version of the film's main character and narrator, Joe Wenteworth (played as a youth by the serious young actor Joseph Mazzello). He's mourning at the grave of his best childhood friend, Simon Birch, with whom he had bonded instantly because both were misfits--one a dwarf, the other illegitimate. The deck is stacked from the beginning, especially when the camera dwells on Joe's luscious mom, Rebecca (Ashley Judd), who refuses to reveal the identity of Joe's father, which in turn urges Simon and Joe to embark on a quest to discover Joe's paternity. In a plot point that resembles The Scarlet Letter, the tide of fate turns on the "immoral" mom just as she's on the verge of finding true love with a decent fellow (played by Oliver Platt). Simon Birch ultimately descends into crudeness, though it asks the audience to continue to engage with its crass lead character. By the end, the film is reduced to drivel, cliché, and melodrama to tug our heartstrings into submission. All the things that should have been the film's focus--guilt, self-loathing, and redemption--remain elusive. --Paula Nechak

Step brothers soundtrack

Quicklinksmain detailscombined detailsfull cast and crewcompany creditsuser commentsexternal reviewsawardsparents guiderecommendationsmessage boardplot synopsisplot keywordsmemorable quotesmovie connectionsFAQmerchandising linksrelease datesfilming locationstechnical specsNewsDesktaglinestrailers and videospostersphoto galleryshowtimesofficial sitesmiscellaneousphotographs
Cast (Credited cast) ... ... ... When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. But the kids soon discover her secret and sign on for adventure in the name of England. With the aid of a magical bed, they track down her fraudulent headmaster (David Tomlinson) to find the spell that will aid the Allies. Fascinated that she has actually achieved results with his lessons, he joins forces. The quintet does battle with corrupt booksellers, animated-lion royalty, and, eventually, invading Germans. Songs include Lansbury's Oscar-nominated "The Age of Not Believing." This film is often compared to director Robert Stevenson's earlier effort, Mary Poppins, and for good reason. In addition to Tomlinson, the movies share a fondness for magic at the hands of a good woman, light romance with an understanding male, and wide-eyed children. Stevenson also graces both films with interaction between humans and animated animals. Disney is wise to play up that aspect on its box this time around as both the underwater ball and the subsequent island soccer match are the most visually interesting and appealing parts of the film. Adults may find the 1971-vintage mixing of actors and animation a bit creaky, but kids used to a variety of animation quality will find the action a hoot. Ages 4 and up. The movie has been recut several times but was restored to the original length of 139 minutes for its 30th anniversary in 2001. --Kimberly Heinrichs
<img Osterhout Love is such a cruel game. I'm in love with the best women's college basketball player in the country, but she's seeing another man -- another very big man. With looks like this, it's easy to see why Candace Parker (pictured here with Kevin Durant) is the apple of this writer's eye.AP Candace Parker is the sexiest woman in basketball. Hands down. No other college basketball player made People's 100 Most Beautiful People list. She's six foot four inches of majestic hoops beauty. Tall enough to be a center and quick enough to be a guard, she's the all-around package. Her handle's hotter than a frying pan's and she's got more hops than a case of Budweiser. Plus, Candace can dunk, and we all know there's nothing sexier than a girl who can dunk. She's the first female to dunk in an NCAA tournament game and is the only woman to ever dunk twice in the same college game. She dunks better than most guys. My baby won the slam dunk contest at the McDonald's High School All-Star Game. That's right, she beat both Josh Smith and J.R. Smith. Do you have a girlfriend who can do that? Well, actually, I don't either. But that's only because the Landlord himself, Sheldon DeMar Williams, the former Duke center, is dating my hoops goddess. How do I know they're seeing each other? I was at the NCAA women's finals in Cleveland, sitting on press row, when I looked up and saw Williams crammed into a seat eleven rows back, surrounded by hundreds of rabid Lady Vols fans. "What's the Landlord doing here?" I asked a reporter sitting next to me. "Oh," she responded. "He's dating Candace Parker." No he's not, I thought, denial being the first stage of heartbreak. That's just a rumor. He's too old for her. (At the time she was only 20 and he was 23.) Models date models. Candace is a model. The Landlord is most certainly not. And he's too tall. She would never choose a man taller than her. She's got to jump just to give him a kiss -- although, she has no problem jumping... I decided to get to the bottom of this rumor and find out from the Landlord himself if he was, in fact, dating the girl of my hoops dreams. And sure enough, at halftime, he confirmed their romantic relationship. They met on her official visit to Duke, but didn't start dating until the 2006 ESPY Awards. That means they'd been going out for a little over a year. Apparently, they talk basketball while snuggling. As you can imagine, I was crushed. Images of the Landlord boxing out my special lady friend flooded my head. I thought about taking him out right then and there, but I figured a broken heart was marginally better than a broken femur. Not all was lost, though. If Candace liked the Landlord so much and they met on her official visit to Duke, why hadn't she chosen to attend Duke? And why, during the Lady Vols' championship game, when the rest of the crowd was decked out in bright orange, was the Landlord dressed in a drab yellow shirt? Hope sprung anew. I believed that I could wait out their relationship. After all, she's still in college and he's on the road losing all the time. Plus, he's the backup center on the fourth-worst team in the NBA. (And the starting power forward is a former Tar Heel.) That can't be attractive. And so I carried my bruised but unbroken heart around for a while, just waiting for Candace to drop the Landlord like she did Rutgers in the tournament finals. Then, as I was skimming the newspaper the other week, I came across an article that plunged the final dagger into my suffering heart. Sheldon Williams had proposed to Candace Parker and, get this, she said YES. Nike sources confirm it. My special someone now refers to the Landlord as her "fiancé". The pain. The anguish. What's a defeated man like me to do? I guess I could sit around and watch reruns of Duke's loss to LSU in the 2006 tournament, or I could take a stand. After all, the wedding is on hold until Candace graduates. So here's me taking a stand. Sheldon DeMar Williams, wherever you are, we've got a beef. You've stolen the woman of my dreams and I want her back. I challenge you to a three-point contest. Winner takes home the keys to Candace Parker's heart.
